Our Grappa

 

Our Grappas are obtained from the distillation, within 48 hours of the production, of the pomace of the grapes produced at Fattoria la Ripa. The distillation occurs by means of a steam still, heated by hot water vapour,  rejecting the first and  last fractions of the distillate (head and tail).

Grappa’s Riserva  is aged in French oak casks for three years, which confers to it its typical amber colour and adds important noble wooden scents.

The two Grappa’s are soft and fruity and have all the characteristics of  “Meditation Grappa”.

They should be tasted at an ambient temperature at the end of a meal as a liqueur, but, particularly young Grappa, is pleasant also slightly chilled (12º C).
